Profile
Founded in 1911 by Johann Josef Prüm, the Wehlen estate is one of the most famous names for fruity-sweet Mosel Riesling. Its core sites are the Wehlener Sonnenuhr and the Graacher Himmelreich. The house style is deliberately traditional and built for longevity: in their youth the wines often seem closed, but with age even the Kabinett wines reveal their class over decades. Since 2005 Dr. Katharina Prüm has run the estate together with her father.
