Profile
This family estate in Brauneberg in the Middle Mosel can be traced back to 1605 and produces only Riesling – from dry to nobly sweet. At its centre are the two Große Lagen Brauneberger Juffer and Juffer-Sonnenuhr, pure south-facing slopes on Devonian slate right beside the river. Wilhelm Haag made the estate internationally known and in 1994 became the first »Winemaker of the Year« in Gault&Millau; since 2005 his son Oliver Haag has run the estate with the aim of bottling the classic, slate-driven Mosel style authentically.
