Profile
This family estate in Bockenau has been in family hands for more than 200 years; under Tim Fröhlich it has become one of the leading names for Riesling on the Nahe. The vines grow exclusively on steep, rocky sites – slate, quartzite and volcanic rock – spread across six Große Lagen, including the two monopoles Felseneck and Stromberg in Bockenau. The great Rieslings are fermented spontaneously and given plenty of time; alongside the dry Große Gewächse, the nobly sweet Goldkapsel Auslesen, often bottled as auction wines, are sought-after rarities.
